Anchored in heritage. Built to endure.

At Illumination Studio Carmel, we partner with communities of faith to create sacred environments that speak the living language of their tradition — bringing deep fluency in denomination-specific symbolism, theological heritage, and over thirty years of mastery in stained glass, illuminated works, painting, gilding, and bespoke liturgical furnishings to every commission.

Illumination Studio Carmel Liturgical Consultation

Anchored in heritage. Built to endure.

Illumination Studio Carmel partners with faith communities to shape the sacred spaces where they gather — vessels, furnishings, and architectural work built to hold generations of worship, not just a single dedication. Every commission begins with listening: to the community's tradition, its building committee, its architect, and the specific theological and iconographic language of its faith.

Church Design

We work alongside clergy, building committees, and architects from the earliest planning stages — bringing liturgical function and sacred atmosphere into the same conversation as structure and light.

Baptismal Fonts

A font is touched by every person who enters the faith through it. We build each one to carry that weight — in stone, metal, and gold leaf, sized and sited to its sanctuary.

Altars

The altar is the visual and spiritual center of the sanctuary. We design and fabricate altars that hold that center with material honesty and theological precision.

Processional Crosses

Carried, not simply displayed — a processional cross is handled, raised, and seen from a distance. We build ours for that use: balanced, durable, and unmistakable from the back pew.

Mosaics

Tesserae, gold leaf, and glass, set by hand into imagery drawn from a community's own scripture and history — not a catalog pattern, but iconography specific to the parish it serves.
